About the Cofounder – Dr. Precious Azino Usuemerai
Dr. Precious Azino Usuemerai (PharmD) is the Co-founder of ZeenoHealth Pharmaceuticals, a purpose-driven health-tech company launched during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic to address urgent gaps in access to life-saving medications and protective equipment across Nigeria. A licensed clinical pharmacist with years of frontline experience, Dr. Usuemerai brings a unique blend of hands-on clinical insight and operational grit to his work in pharmaceutical innovation.
He received his training at the Pharmacy School of the University of Benin, where he gained deep clinical exposure across multiple hospitals, including the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH), Faith Mediplex Benin, St. Philomena’s Hospital Benin, and the Federal Neuropsychiatric Hospital Benin. After graduating in 2016, he further expanded his clinical experience at the National Assembly Medical Center in Abuja and the Antiretroviral Clinical Unit of the Asokoro District Hospital. These rotations and professional roles shaped his 360-degree understanding of patient care across primary, secondary, and tertiary health systems.
In 2020, when COVID-19 disrupted health systems and medicine supply chains, Dr. Usuemerai co-founded ZeenoHealth to ensure critical therapies and PPE reached hospitals, pharmacies, and patients, particularly in underserved regions. Through strategic sourcing, agile distribution, and close collaboration with healthcare providers, ZeenoHealth has delivered treatment solutions to over 2 million Nigerians and supported public and private health institutions across 10+ states.
Since 2020, he continues to drive ZeenoHealth’s mission to build a more resilient, equitable, and accessible pharmaceutical landscape in Nigeria,grounded in clinical excellence, compassion, and community impact.
